We have more than 400 scholars attending CGA this year, so the main office is busier than ever. The PTO is helping recruit volunteers to aid Ms. R and Ms. Athey in keeping the office running smoothly.
The first recruitment priority is lunchtime volunteers (11 AM to 1 PM daily). Then, we hope to add volunteers for the morning and afternoon rushes: 9-10 AM and 2-3 PM. Volunteers must commit to a weekly shift through at least Winter Break (or to multiple shifts, if desired).
Office volunteers will answer phones, welcome visitors to the building, sign in/out scholars who arrive late or leave early, deliver messages and packages to classrooms, file paperwork, make copies, and do similar work as needed. Volunteers will not access student data and private information, administer medication or emergency care to scholars, discipline scholars, or make decisions on behalf of the school.
There will be several short orientations available so that volunteers can learn the basics of office operations, how to protect student privacy, and key volunteer do’s and don’ts.

- Availability (for one or more slots): M-T-W-R-F; 9-10 AM, 11 AM-1 PM, 2-3 PM
- Availability as a back up and on which days/times
